An unprecedented achievement: since 2011, the first team of DZOH football club from Emmen has won the championship no fewer than four times. Photographer Paul Barelds captured the best moments of three of the four championships.

Within Oldenburger|Fritom's Lean Six Sigma organization, all employees undergo training in this improvement method. At the beginning of this year, our warehouse colleagues all obtained their Lean Six Sigma White Belt certificate. The shift leaders at our warehouse then went on to complete our internal Yellow Belt training.

Following the successful Career Fair organized by Súdwest-Fryslân On Stage on November 4, November 20 was dedicated to the On Stage Experience Day. Around 750 students traveled through Súdwest-Fryslân that day to visit various companies.

This year, on Thursday, November 20, Veenstra|Fritom once again participated in the On-Stage ZWF activity day. This initiative, which followed the career fair in Sneek on November 4, is intended to inform and enthuse VMBO students from the region about the many exciting careers in logistics.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Greenwise Campus in Emmen was the setting for MatchDay, the event for vocational and higher vocational students looking for an internship, graduation project, or job. For companies, MatchDay—organized by NHL Stenden and DCTerra—offers a great opportunity to connect with young talent in the region.

Veenstra|Fritom, together with Sanders|Fritom and other transport companies, recently contributed to an aid transport to Moldova. Whereas this was previously organized by the Mensenkinderen foundation, this year saw a first: this was the first trip carried out by our own foundation.

On November 12, an Open Day was held at Noorderpoort Mobility, Transport & Logistics at Bornholmstraat 31 in Groningen. Oldenburger|Fritom was also represented this time. Our colleagues Marienus van der Laan and Mats Dale look back on a very successful afternoon and evening.

As a Lean Six Sigma organization, Oldenburger|Fritom continuously focuses on optimization and improvement in accordance with the kaizen philosophy. Translated from Japanese, kaizen means "change" (kai) to "good" or "improvement" (zen). Kaizen therefore forms the basis of the sustainable innovations we want to achieve.
