Automation

Automation has become an integral part of modern warehouses. More and more manual processes are being taken over by smart technologies such as robots, AGVs (automated guided vehicles) and automated order picking and conveyor systems. In recent years, these developments have become essential for accelerating and optimizing logistics processes. All systems are fully integrated with our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This makes real-time data available, such as the status of shipments, current stock levels and track&trace information. This information can be shared digitally and directly with our clients. This ensures transparency, speed and control within the supply chain.

 

Returns Management

Processing returned goods requires a specific logistical approach. In close consultation with the client, we tailor return processes to ensure that they run smoothly and efficiently. The most important steps in this process are quality control and checking and listing the quantities. All inbound volumes are accurately recorded in our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and associated inventory reports can be shared digitally for complete transparency. For repairs or refurbishing, we can set up special workstations in consultation, so that this work can be carried out directly in our warehouse. This often requires training and education of warehouse personnel by the client to carry out the processes efficiently and with the right expertise (staffing, outsourcing). If goods or raw materials are no longer usable, we investigate sustainable solutions together with the client. For example, we offer opportunities for disassembly and circular processing of goods to give them a "second life."

Bonded warehouse solutions

At Fritom, we offer Bonded Warehouse solutions that optimize your logistics processes and give you tax advantages when storing goods. A Bonded Warehouse is a bonded warehouse where goods are stored under customs supervision with no import duties or VAT payable until the goods have gone through customs formalities. Our Bonded Warehouse services offer numerous benefits for companies operating internationally, including deferred payment of import duties, flexibility in distribution, customs and tax regulations, international shipments, and security and control.

Cross docking

Cross-docking is a smart link within the logistics chain that ensures maximum efficiency and higher productivity of transport equipment. This working method is an integral part of our modern warehouse logistics. Goods are delivered to the warehouse and often reloaded for distribution the same night. As a result, shipments can reach the recipient as early as the next day. By means of groupage, multiple shipments are bundled so that multiple deliveries per day are possible. Our route trucks combine deliveries with picking up new shipments in their region. These are then returned to the warehouse for further processing via cross-docking. This keeps the logistics process fast, flexible and cost-efficient.

This applies to both external communication with our customers and internal coordination within our organization. Fast and adequate action is always the starting point here. In addition, the Customer Service Desk actively monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), such as lead times, stock accuracy and order picking accuracy.
