Warehousing
Inbound logistics
Upon arrival, all goods delivered are carefully checked for damage, quantity and quality. We then provide each item with a barcode label, which ensures accurate and reliable registration in our advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS). Thanks to this digital registration, up-to-date stock overviews are available daily, so you always have real-time insight into the status of your goods. Pallets (block or euro pallets) are neatly stored in racking, while other goods are placed in specially designated floor locations within the warehouse.
Storage and inventory management
Within our warehouse we offer both fixed and flexible storage locations, fully tailored to the needs of our clients. For example, fixed storage is reserved exclusively for one client. These dedicated sections offer continuity and security in storage capacity. With flexible storage, goods are efficiently distributed to different available locations within the warehouse. Thanks to barcode and location scanning, each pallet is accurately registered, ensuring full traceability.
Flexible storage provides optimal use of total space and increases the efficiency of our logistics processes.Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) supports various inventory strategies such as FIFO, LIFO FEFO and JIT. In addition, we proactively manage safety stocks: when a minimum stock is reached, the system automatically generates a notification to replenish on time. This keeps the supply chain smooth and predictable.
Order Picking
Order picking is a crucial link in our logistics process. Based on customer orders, we collect the right products from stock. This can be done at item level, per package or as complete pallets. When shipments contain multiple product types for one delivery address, we put together efficient "colorful" pallets. Preparing orders for shipment includes packing, sealing and labeling, providing correct shipping documentation, adding commercial invoices and processing required customs documents for import and export shipments. In this way, we guarantee that every shipment goes on transport complete, correct and according to proper procedures.
Outbound logistics
Through our own Fritom transport organization we take care of the complete transport of goods from the warehouse to the final destination. We use multiple modes of transport: road, rail, sea and air freight, depending on what best suits your logistics needs. It is also possible to pick up shipments yourself from our warehouse locations. The coordination of all transport orders is in the hands of our Customer Service Desk (CSD). This central link ensures efficient coordination between the internal warehouse organization and transport planning, both internally and externally. In this way, we ensure that every shipment is prepared for departure correctly and on time.
