Fritom Corporate sold the premises at Wymerts 9 in Bolsward to Hochwald in 2016. It was allowed to stay there for a while, but of course had to look for a new home. Galaxy|Fritom and Bidon|Fritom were no longer satisfied with the office space they rented and were also looking for something new... The combination was quickly made. In 2017, Wiersma Holding started building a new office complex with workshop for Melkweg|Fritom, Bidon|Fritom and Fritom Holding. A brand new, sustainably built office building arose on the Marne in Bolsward. In September 2017 it was the honor of Bert de Jong †, then chairman of the board of Fritom Holding, to drive the first pile. In April 2018, the new building could be put into use.
From 2010 to 2020

Fritom, Milky Way|Fritom and Bidon|Fritom will have modern and sustainable premises from then on. No gas is used. The companies are self-sufficient in their energy needs and rainwater is used for the toilets and car wash. The building is equipped with special tinted glass and the roofs have received solar panels. The building is well insulated. So well that employees soon found out that their cell phones stopped working inside....no coverage. A special unit on the roof, solved that problem.

When World War I ended, the Netherlands was in an economically turbulent time. In Veendam, the then 37-year-old agricultural worker Jan Oldenburger wanted to offer his family a better future. Therefore, on November 10, 1917, he had his last name registered as a trademark and started his own transport company. Transportation began with horse and wagon. A century later, in November 2017, Oldenburger|Fritom celebrated its 100th anniversary with a big party in cultural and congress center vanBeresteyn (Veendam).

On December 11, 2017, the crowning glory of 100 years of logistics services followed with the award to Oldenburger|Fritom of the Predicate of Court Supplier.

On April 28, 1928, Wessel and Maaike Veenstra started the Veenstra company. Wessel bought his first car at the age of 25: an Opel with a single-axle trailer. In 2018 it was 90 years ago and this was celebrated by Veenstra|Fritom with a wonderful anniversary party.

In May 2019, the most sustainable distribution center in the Northern Netherlands was completed in Veendam. Oldenburger|Fritom's new warehouse, situated on the land opposite the existing site was built according to BREEAM Outstanding. The warehouse has an area of 5,000m2 and a height of 15 meters and is completely energy-neutral. There is space for more than 15,000 pallet spaces and 6 loading docks. The building has no gas connection. However, it is equipped with a heat pump, LED lighting, solar panels and an advanced air conditioning system. On the site, a circular waste management facility has been set up for optimal waste disposal. To help insects, an insect hotel has been installed and birds find excellent nesting opportunities in the nesting boxes provided.

Sanders|Fritom trucks transport everything that fits on a pallet and needs to be transported safely. Sanders|Fritom's area of operation begins where that of parcel services ends. Economic growth and the ever-increasing volume of online sales have been and are continuing to grow the company's turnover. The old location was therefore becoming too small for this Fritom subsidiary. It was therefore decided to build a new building in 2019 in order to double the cross-dock and warehouse facilities for Sanders|Fritom. In the midst of the Corona crisis in 2020, a crisis that hit Uden full force, the construction of the new distribution center was ready. From March of last year, Sanders|Fritom has been operating from its new premises. On a plot of land of 5 hectares, Sanders|Fritom has almost 20,000 m2 for warehouse and distribution activities. This building has also been built extremely sustainably with solar panels, LED lighting, water-saving facilities (grey water circuit) and waste separation.
